ABOUT FAIRHUUR

The Fairhuur Foundation is a student initiative that assists tenants and landlords with a wide range of rental issues. We provide accessible and affordable legal advice, offer practical solutions, and, when necessary, work on a results-oriented basis according to a no cure, no pay model. Without any commercial interest, we use our knowledge and experience to make a difference — ensuring that no one has to face these issues alone.

The Fairhuur Foundation helps tenants and landlords prevent and resolve problems related to tenancy law. Our core belief is that clear agreements, transparency, and proper guidance contribute to a fair and balanced rental market in which both parties feel respected and protected.

We do this by providing independent and expert legal advice. This may concern tenancy agreements, rent levels, or maintenance obligations, but also other practical issues that may arise. When necessary, we assist tenants and landlords in formal proceedings — for example, before the Rent Tribunal. In this way, even disputes where the parties initially seem far apart can often be brought to a satisfactory resolution.

In addition, we work to promote greater stability, trust, and quality in the rental market. We award certifications that stand for openness, reliability, and well-defined agreements, thereby contributing to positive and sustainable relationships between tenants and landlords.

We believe that everyone ultimately benefits from these principles. In practice, the interests of tenants and landlords are often less opposed than they may appear. Both parties share the same goal: a pleasant and sustainable relationship that enables worry-free living. After all, a home is more than just a contract — it is the foundation for a stable and comfortable living environment. By fostering openness, trust, and mutual respect, we aim to contribute to a rental market in which housing can truly be a source of peace and security.
