FairHuur is a student initiative dedicated to creating a fair and accessible rental market. We provide free advice so that everyone can reach out to us without barriers.

 

When we take further action on your behalf, we work on a results-oriented basis and at significantly lower fees than those charged by commercial parties. In this way, we keep the threshold low and ensure that quality assistance remains accessible to everyone. We have no commercial interest — our goal is to use our knowledge to make a difference. Introduction

After you have completed the contact form, we will get in touch with you. During this conversation, we will gain a detailed understanding of your situation. We listen to your questions and preferences, analyse the facts, and assess the legal options. You will then receive clear and honest advice from us on the most appropriate next steps. This way, you know exactly where you stand and what you can expect from us.

Rent Tribunal

If an amicable settlement doesn't provide a solution, we'll represent you in proceedings before the Rent Assessment Committee. We'll compile a complete and convincing case, provide a solid legal basis, and present your position clearly. Throughout the entire process, we'll ensure clear communication and personalized guidance, so you can navigate the process with confidence.

Mediation

Our goal is to reach an amicable settlement, without unnecessary litigation. We guide the negotiations between tenant and landlord, carefully safeguarding our client's interests. It often helps when both parties understand each other better; this allows for a solution to be reached more quickly. The goal is to find a clear, balanced, and sustainable solution, so both parties can move forward with confidence.

Enforcement of the decision

When a decision of the Rent Tribunal is not voluntarily complied with, we take further steps to enforce compliance. If necessary, we engage a debt collection agency or initiate legal proceedings before the subdistrict court. In this way, we ensure that the achieved result is effectively implemented. Throughout this process, we provide careful guidance and clear communication, allowing you to proceed with confidence.
